St Mary’s Mission Gudsarai.
St. Mary’s Sen. Sec. School is located at Garautha Road, Gursarai. The school was founded in 2007 by the Education Society of the Catholic Diocese of Jhansi with the motto “Knowledge is Power”. On July 7, 2007, the school began in a rented house in Gursarai with 60 children. A year later, the school was shifted to present location and it was inaugurated on June 29, 2008. The Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate (MSI) sisters from Delhi joined St. Mary’s, Gursarai on June 26, 2008. Additional land was acquired with the intention of starting social work centre and dispensary. Against all odds, the social work and other
endeavours are carried on very successfully in the area. Fr Peter Sylvester was the first principal who worked hard to bring the school to a certain repute. Later, Fr. Franky Mathias took over as principal of the school and added more classrooms and labs. Fr. Melwin D’Souza took over St. Mary’s in the year 2019 and added more beauty to the school building with time-to-time renovation
according to the need. An auditorium and labs are added to the school. At present the total strength of the school is 978 and 35 teachers.
