St. Mary’s Mission
Our Lady of Graces or loudly known as Mission Banda mission was established in 1978. The seed was sown by Fr. John Kedari, Fr. William D’Souza and Br. Mathew Adhopillil. It was initially started on the Chilla Road in a rented hall. Later the present piece of land was purchased at Jyoti Nagar,Tindwari Road.The institution grew here from a tiny seed to a mighty tree spreading its branches and imparting quality education. The institution aspires to give the best value-based education with the latest technological facilities. As education is a powerful tool for social transformation, it is through education that spiritual, moral and social decaying can be eradicated.
Today, St. Mary’s Family can proudly proclaim that it imparts quality education to over 3,000 students with over 90 teaching and non-teaching staff. This year, we had the best of results in the CBSE Board Exams in the history of St. Mary’s so far. The institute also caters to the needs of weaker sections of the society and runs a Hindi-medium school up to class 8 with permanent recognition from UP government. The parish/mission has 35 regular and active Catholics; as their children study. Catechism exams on Sundays. Through the powerful intercession of Our Lady of Graces, the institution continues to grow marvelously.
