SHRINE CAMPUS

Shrine Campus is a blend of Military land and civil.  The portion where the Shrine is situated is in the civil land.  But the front portion of the land including the Bishop’s House in front is in the Military land.

The domed Shrine has a basement that has a hall interior to it that is right below the Shrine altar is the tomb of Bishop Francis Xavier Fenech, the first Bishop of the Diocese of Jhansi, the one who dreamed prayed and worked for the reality of this shrine in the name of St Jude.

Outside in the campus on the left-hand side of the Shrine in the garden one can see the bust of Bishop Francis Xavier Fenech.  However, the tomb beside the bust is Bishop Frederick D’Souza.

And the Shrine office is situated at the backside of the Shrine building.  On the left-hand side ahead of the garden is the Diocesan Pastoral Centre adjacent to it the Pilgrim quarters.  And on the right-hand side of the Shrine, we can see the CTC Convent.  It is they who serve in the sacristy of St Jude’s Shrine.  beside the Convent are the pilgrim quarters.  There are all around the shrine building basements few rooms available for the pilgrims.  All these are availed by the shrine office to the pilgrims those come from outside only.  As we move around, we can see the Way of the Cross in the garden with its human size statues.  pilgrims do make their prayer and way of the cross all through the year.
